    Meet Kunal Sonar, from Dhule, Maharashtra. He was not academically inclined, but had a passion for yoga. His lack of a stable career worried his family. This changed when Kunal completed the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programme in Yoga conducted by SSRDP. His pre-existing skills were evaluated and he got Government certification as a Yoga Instructor. This helped him get a regular job with Project Life (affiliated to Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute, Lonavla).

    Now, Kunal works as an Instructor at Project Life's yoga and meditation training centre in Rajkot, Gujarat. His monthly salary of Rs. 30000/- (thirty thousand) has solved his financial problems. In his spare time, he also organizes RPL camps in Yoga for SSRDP. In 2019, SSRDP awarded him a Certificate of Appreciation for being one of the top performers among its RPL organizers.

    Workers in the unorganized sector have gained skills while on the job, or through non-formal learning channels, but without any official assessment or certification.

    Whereas, today’s workforce needs the right and rock-solid foundation to pick up skills in a fast-changing world foroptimizing the potential of human resources.

    India is one of the “youngest nations” in the world, with more than half of its total population below 25 years of age. Yet, many reports suggest that more than half of the graduates emerging from India’s education system are not employable as per the current requirements of the job market.

    To bridge this gap, our “Access to Employability” Programme helps students in colleges to become job-ready through workshops on English communication, advanced computer training, soft skills, interview techniques and job-specific technical training.

    It has already reached about 70,000 + students in more than 200 colleges in 17 states across India!

    Be like the Christmas tree; evergreen, shining, full of lights and full of gifts.

    It only gives, it does not take anything for itself. Come summer or winter or fall, it never falls, never springs. All through the year it’s green and in winter it gives presents.

    Similarly, I want to see everyone smiling and happy. Just create waves of happiness, everything else is irrelevant. In the world things happen, some pleasant, some unpleasant. Some things happen the way you want it, some things don’t happen the way you want. Bundle it all and put it aside. Nothing can really take away your happiness.
